My Story

My name is Ayca Atakay. I am a Clinical Psychologist. I was born and raised in Turkey. I have been living in Berlin.

 

I offer individual counseling. I work in Turkish and English.

I graduated from Yıldız Technical University "Psychological Counseling and Guidance" department. After that I finished "Clinical Psychology Master's Program" with a thesis at Uskudar University. 

During my undergraduate education, I had the experience of doing internships in different institutions. I worked as a psychological counselor with adolescents and their families in the psychological counseling departments of various private schools. Since 2015, I have been doing psychotherapy in private counseling centers. I would also like to add that in 2017, I gained different perspectives to my professional life by having the opportunity to work in an association with disabled individuals in Canada. 

I mainly use EMDR Therapy, Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, The Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Existential Therapy approaches, I perform with adolescents and adults. In addition, I have the competence to apply the MMPI Personality Inventory, Rorschach and TAT test.
